Why are AviCakes better than a 100% seed or 100% pellet diet?
Nutritionally balanced just for birds
Unlike a full / high seed diet that is high in fat and deficient in many nutrients, AviCakes are nutritionally balanced and is suitable as a main diet for birds. Top avian nutritionists, veterinarians and behavioural consultants worked together to create AviCakes with a balance of stabilized vitamins, chelated minerals, and amino acids essential for the health of pet birds. Also Omega 3 & 6 balanced to give your birds healthier skin and feathers and a more efficient immune system.
Vitamin fortified hulled seeds
A seed mix might be coated with vitamins and minerals, but only the hull of the seed is coated. As soon as your bird cracks the seed, the nutrition is lost along with the empty seed hull. By hulling the seed and grains and then adding essential vitamins and minerals, Lafeber keeps the nutrition right where it belongs — in each and every bite.
Taste and textures in a more natural form that birds find appealing
Fruit Delight AviCakes are packed with a variety of wholesome ingredients such as pellets, real pieces of cranberries, dates, mango, papaya, pineapple and wholesome grains that taste great AND your bird can individually taste, feel and see, which brings out their foraging instincts and gets them interested in their food. Your birds no longer need to eat food that all taste the same and have the same texture because they have all been ground together.
Unique shapes that encourages foraging behaviour
AviCake’s square shape is the perfect “work-and-chew-food” for your parrot to hold, pull, twist, and crunch. Smaller parrots will enjoy pecking at them while larger parrots can hold them comfortably in one foot.
Perfect foraging treat
Their handy, compact size makes them perfect for hiding in a large number of foraging toys!
